주의할 것
- 1그림(SVG · PNG)은 CC BY 4.0 이라 사이트 푸터 · 앱 About · 소스 주석 중 한 곳에 Twemoji 출처와 라이선스 링크를 적어야 한다(README 가 그 정도면 충분하다고 명시).
- 2그림을 고쳐 썼으면 고쳤다는 표시를 남겨야 한다(CC BY 4.0 제3조 a항 1호 B).
- 3트위터(X) 원본 저장소는 2022년 v14.0.2 이후 정식 릴리스가 없고, 최신 유니코드 이모지는 포크 jdecked/twemoji(v17.0.3, 2026-06) 에서 받는다 — npm 패키지 이름도 @twemoji/api 로 바뀌었다.

- twitter/twemoji 저장소의 GitHub 최신 릴리스는 v14.0.2(2022-03-31)이지만 2026-01 에 'v14.0.3' · 'update emojis' 커밋이 있다 — Twitter(X) 쪽이 유지보수를 재개한 것인지는 확인하지 못했다(GitHub API 로 커밋 날짜만 확인).
- CC BY 4.0 은 상표권을 허락하지 않는다(Section 2(b)(2)). 'Twemoji' · 'Twitter' 이름을 제품명에 쓰는 것에 대한 X Corp 의 상표 정책은 확인하지 않았다.
- Twemoji 그림 무단 사용으로 실제 분쟁이 된 사례는 찾지 못했다.
