주의할 것
- 1macOS 사용권 계약은 Apple 글꼴을 'Apple 소프트웨어를 실행하는 동안 표시 · 인쇄' 하는 용도로만 허락한다 — 글꼴에서 이모지 PNG 를 뽑아 웹 · 안드로이드 앱 · 영상 · 굿즈에 넣는 것은 그 범위를 벗어난다.
- 2App Store 심사 지침 5.2.5 는 '앱 · 확장 · 키보드 · 스티커 팩에 Apple 이모지를 넣을 수 없다' 고 명시하고, 2018년 실제로 여러 앱이 이 이유로 거절됐다(사례 참고).
- 3Memoji · Genmoji 는 사용권 계약에 '개인적 · 비상업적 용도' 만 허락된다고 따로 적혀 있어 회사 유튜브 · 광고 · 상품에 쓰면 안 된다. 대신 Twemoji · Noto · Fluent 처럼 라이선스가 공개된 이모지를 쓴다.

확인하지 못한 것
- Apple Color Emoji 글꼴 파일 자체의 임베딩 제한 값(fsType, Font Book 의 'Show Font Info') 은 직접 열어 보지 않았다 — SLA 는 그 값을 따르라고만 한다.
- Apple 이 Apple 이모지 이미지를 쓴 제3자(웹사이트 · 굿즈 판매자)에게 내용증명 · DMCA 를 보낸 공개 사례는 찾지 못했다. 확인된 조치는 App Store 심사 거절(2018)뿐이다. 국내 사례 · 판결도 찾지 못했다.
- iOS · iPadOS 사용권 계약의 글꼴 · 시스템 캐릭터 조항은 macOS 판과 같은지 확인하지 않았다(macOS Tahoe 26 영문판만 읽음).
- Apple 제3자 가이드라인은 '이모지' 라는 단어를 직접 쓰지 않는다 — 'Apple-owned graphic symbol, logo, icon or image' 와 상표 조항으로 읽은 것이다.
- Apple 커뮤니티(discussionskorea.apple.com/thread/253900775) 의 '시스템 캐릭터 사용 금지' 답변은 일반 사용자 글이라 근거로 넣지 않았다.
